Curtin Leaders Program 2023
Recently we celebrated the successful completion of the Curtin Leaders Program for 2023.
This Curtin Extra Tier 3 program demands seventy hours of co-curricular participation from those students who were successful in receiving a place in this program. The Curtin Leaders Program is an experiential leadership journey through which students have develop their unique leadership skills and attributes.
Focused on the core leadership competencies of self-leadership, commitment and self-management, collaboration and high-performance teamwork, this inspiring and committed group of student leaders embraced the program whole heartedly. Topics such as leadership theories and models, design thinking, teamwork, conflict management, public speaking, project management, community engagement and digital identity were delivered based upon a foundation of the Social Change Model of Leadership Development, the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, reflective practice and psychological safety. Congratulations to all students! The Curtin Leaders Program will run again in 2024.
Well done to Libby Kinna, Student Development Consultant (Leadership), who coordinates central leadership programs such as ‘Curtin Leaders Program’ and ‘Skills for Success’ and to the following staff involved in the delivery of the program material: Dr Alan McAlpine, Kelly Kendall-Jones, Marc Phillips, Michelle Moss, Jaeger Wieland and Jessie Parish.
