About the Project
Commencing in 2021, the goal of the Academic Workload Allocation Project is to ensure a transparent, equitable and fair planning process for all academic staff.
The working group for the project includes academic representatives across all Faculties and professional staff representatives from People and Culture, the Office of Strategy and Planning and Digital and Technology Solutions.
Key priorities for the project include the development of a single workload allocation planning tool that can be used by all Schools, and the development of standards to guide the allocation of teaching delivery, teaching-related duties, research and leadership duties across the University.

The approved Academic Workload Allocation Procedure is now available on the Policies Website following consultation in August.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the consultation and feedback process. The procedures were developed through a consultative process with stakeholders across the University, and following this have been amended based on the feedback received during the University-wide consultation period, including updates to the definitions and minor rewording of some principles to improve clarity.
