Research Interests

Getting to the root of the problem in the social and ecological political economy:

1. Critically evaluating measures of environmental and social welfare – Developing a more practical alternative to the Index of Sustainable Economic Welfare and the Genuine Progress Indicator (ISEW/GPI).

2. Historical specificity vis-à-vis long waves and institutional dynamics – What is the link between the cycles and degradation (or enhancement) of social and environmental welfare?

3. Systematic Theology – Comparing alternative worldviews – Providing concrete and coherent answers to questions about life’s deepest longings.
