Ms Shelley Cheetham is a Research Officer in the Prehospital, Resuscitation and Emergency Care Research Unit (PRECRU) in the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Paramedicine at Curtin University.

Shelley’s role involves following up participants and collecting data for the studies investigating the use of continuous positive airway pressure in people experiencing respiratory distress, and collecting data for the out of hospital cardiac arrest database. Shelley's primary role is as the Western Australian State Coordinator for the reduction of oxygen after cardiac arrest (EXACT) study, which involves managing the study in WA and collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders in Western Australia, Victoria and South Australia. 

Shelley is also the PRECRU Ethics Coordinator.

Employment History

Shelley previously worked at the University of Western Australia between 2010-2016 as a Research Assistant for the Busselton Health Study, a Graduate Research Assistant on the Improving Rural Cancer Outcomes trial, and as a Research Officer involved in studies investigating rural radiotherapy services, palliative care service delivery and occupational health. In January 2017, Shelley joined the PRECRU team at Curtin University.
