The Research Office at Curtin came alive with colour, flavour and festivity as staff gathered in the Council Chamber Foyer to celebrate Lunar New Year. The event was organised by the Research Office’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) Committee.

Bringing together teams from across the Research Office community, the celebration featured a range of engaging activities including Sharing a Blessing, Create Your Own Blessing, a lively Jelly Bean Chopstick Competition and a Lunar New Year Quiz, where participants tested their knowledge for prizes — and bragging rights.

The event began with a warm welcome and a reflection on the shared values of Lunar New Year — renewal, prosperity and community, before the foyer quickly transformed into a vibrant and festive space filled with laughter, conversation and celebration.

The ROC DEIB’s ongoing work aims to foster a supportive and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to contribute their best. Thank you to everyone involved in this wonderful celebration of culture at Curtin.
