Global recognition for Professor Martin Van Kranendonk
Professor Martin Van Kranendonk, Head of the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences and Dean of Science, has been named a Geochemistry Fellow by the Geochemical Society and the European Association of Geochemistry.
The prestigious honour recognises outstanding scientists who have made lasting and meaningful impact to the field and have helped shape scientific progress. Professor Van Kranendonk received the title for his contributions to geology and geochemistry of the early Earth and the evolution of life, research that has fundamentally changed previous views.
