2023 Excellence in Teaching Awards

Congratulations to the twelve academics who received 2023 Excellence in Teaching Awards presented by the Curtin Student Guild.
The awards recognise teachers and supervisors who have displayed excellence in classroom communication, make an effort to engage and promote student participation while displaying passion and enthusiasm for their teaching area. Staff are nominated by the student community and awarded by a selection panel of Guild faculty representatives. There were more than 460 award nominations this year.
Faculty of Humanities:

- Research Supervisor Award: Dr Christina Lee
Faculty of Health Sciences:
- Teaching Award: Adrian Paxman
- Teaching Commendation Dr Leanne Chalmers

Faculty of Business and Law:
- Teaching Award: Dr Andrew Brennan
- Teaching Commendation: Dr Wahseem Soobratty
- Research Supervisor Award: Dr Mingming Cheng
Faculty of Science and Engineering:
- Teaching Award: Dr Johan Vandamme
- Teaching Commendation: Dr Manora Caldera
- Research Supervisor Award: Dr Stephen Poropat
