The 2025 Sustainability Challenge brought together 120 students from across Curtin for five days of intensive, interdisciplinary collaboration to create tangible solutions for a more sustainable future.

Students from engineering, design, health, construction, communications, business and other disciplines worked in teams on real-world challenges across three critical themes: climate resilience, resource circularity and ecosystem health. Guided by industry leaders and academic mentors, projects ranged from decarbonising ferry transport to nature-based responses to urban heat.

Thank you to all at the Faculty of Humanities who played a key role in shaping and delivering the program. Read more in the article here.
