ACSES Fellows welcomed to Curtin Bentley
The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES), formerly the National Centre for Student Equity in Higher Education, welcomed successful recipients of the First Nations Fellowship Program and the Equity Fellowship Program to Curtin Bentley last week.
The inaugural First Nations Fellowships were awarded to Dr Tracy Woodroffe (Charles Darwin University), Dr Darren Garvey (The University of Queensland) and Professor Peter Anderson (Griffith University). The 2024 Equity Fellowships were awarded to Associate Professor Amani Bell (The University of Sydney), Danielle Keenan (University of Technology Sydney) and Dr Bret Stephenson (La Trobe University).
The six Fellows were welcomed to Boorloo (Perth) this week by ACSES Director of Research and Policy Professor Ian Li who is overseeing the Fellowships. During the visit the Fellows teamed up with previous Fellows for mentoring, attended training from Curtin’s Media Team and built supportive networks for their work.
The Fellowships form part of ACSES’s commitment to fostering excellence and inclusivity in higher education and providing opportunities that empower individuals to make meaningful contributions in their chosen field.
