Last week, Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES) professional staff, Indu Rani, Anna Will and Miriam Fisher, took part in the Wadjemup On Country Immersive Experience, part of Curtin’s Indigenous Cultural Capabilities Framework.

It was an emotional and deeply important day, offering a powerful opportunity to reflect on the early history between West Australian Aboriginal people and colonisers, the impacts of the Stolen Generations and the enduring legacies of Nyungar leaders and events.

The Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success team is grateful to have had this experience and to continue building its cultural capability through deep listening, reflection and truth-telling. A sincere thank you to the Cultural Capability team for facilitating such a meaningful journey.
