Congratulations to the following researchers who have been awarded funding from the Australian Research Council (ARC) under the ARC’s 2024 Future Fellowships scheme.
- Associate Professor Nadim Darwish from the School of Molecular and Life Sciences was awarded $946,792 for the project ‘Electrochemical Deactivation of Enveloped Viruses,’ which aims to develop electrochemical methods and surface-science strategies to prevent the spread of enveloped viruses.
- Dr Denis Fougerouse from the John de Laeter Centre was awarded $918,892 for the project ‘Critical Minerals: Novel Nanoscale Insights of Mineralisation to Extraction,’ which aims to develop fundamentally new knowledge on the distribution of critical minerals such as indium, germanium, gallium and cobalt in their host minerals and in residues of extractive metallurgy.
