Associate Professor reappointed to UNESCAP’s SDG Review Reference Group
Associate Professor Thu Phuong Pham from Curtin’s School of Accounting, Economics and Finance has been reappointed by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) to the Reference Group for the 2026 global review of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Associate Professor Pham will contribute her expertise to SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy, helping assess, progress and shape strategies that guide 53 Asia–Pacific countries toward the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The reappointment recognises her international leadership in energy transition, sustainable finance, carbon markets and the economic development of ethnic minority communities. Her research continues to inform global policy dialogues on clean-energy investment and decarbonisation, strengthening Curtin’s global visibility and impact in sustainability and finance research.
