Congratulations to the following staff members from the Faculty of Business and Law who have been successful in the 2023 Australian Research Council (ARC) Linkage Project round 2 for their Curtin-led projects:

  • Associate Professor Russel Kingshott, John Curtin Distinguished Professor Piyush Sharma, Professor Amy Tian and Dr Sandra Martain with Henrietta Podgorska were awarded $105,665 for their project ‘Optimising cost-effective services to the aged CaLD community’, which aims to help non-government service providers in the growing aged care sector identify, develop and offer cost effective community-based services to improve the lives and wellbeing of their culturally and linguistically diverse (CaLD) clients.
  • Professor Rachel Ong ViforJ, Professor Steven Rowley and Associate Professor Amity James with Associate Professor Emma Power, Sophia Petrov, John Irvine and Michelle Blakeley were awarded $256,946 for their project ‘Delivering housing solutions that meet older people’s housing aspirations’, which will address diversity among older cohorts and the critical challenge of supporting the housing aspirations of vulnerable older persons facing severe financial constraints.

The Linkage Projects scheme supports projects which initiate or develop long term strategic research alliances to apply advanced knowledge to problems, acquire new knowledge and as a basis for securing commercial and other benefits of research.
