Showcasing staff stories, achievements, successes and more!
Back to the future with DBE Graduate Research Exchange
Sparking conversations that will help shape graduate research into the future, the School of Design and the Built Environment Graduate Research Exchange (DBE GRX) recently brought together Higher Degree by Research candidates, supervisors and guests for four days of dynamic exchange, showcasing research in progress.
Held twice a year, DBE GRX connects traditional and practice-based research in a transdisciplinary setting, strengthening shared learning and a visible, collaborative graduate research culture across the School.
From the opening keynote and panel with Distinguished Professor Martyn Hook (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Campus Design and University Architect, RMIT University) and Professor Lucy Montgomery (Dean of Research, Curtin’s Humanities Research and Graduate Studies) to candidate presentations, milestone assessments, workshops and the closing plenary, the program created a rich platform for ideas, reflection and meaningful dialogue.
Thank you to all staff who supported the event and to the doctoral candidates, whose openness and courage in sharing work-in-progress is at the heart of GRX.
