A new report released online by the Bankwest Curtin Economics Centre this week reveals that there has been no improvement in employment rates for people with disability in Australia over the past two decades, despite extensive policy reforms and greatly increased funding for supports and service delivery.

The report, Employment and disability in Australia: Improving employment outcomes for people with disability, contains a comprehensive assessment of the trends, drivers and consequences of labour market disadvantage faced by people with disability in Australia and offers recommendations aimed at fostering a more inclusive workforce.

Congratulations to report authors Alex Buckland, Professor Mike Dockery, Professor Alan Duncan, Valentina Sanchez Arenas, Dr Panagiotis Sotirakopoulos, Chris Twomey, Dr Lili Loan Vu and the BCEC team on a successful launch of this insightful report.
