Congratulations to Caerwen Ellery, PhD student from Curtin Medical School who was awarded the best overall presentation prize at the International Neurotrauma Society (INTS) meeting in Cambridge.

The INTS event took place from Monday 2 to Thursday 5 September and drew delegates from across the globe for its 16th meeting and compiled a scientific program addressing the basic translational and clinical aspects of research into brain and spinal cord injuries. The program consisted of a combination of plenaries, posters and other sessions.

Caerwen was awarded for her presentation titled ‘Quantitative electroencephalography (EEG) reveals regional brain dysfunction in mild traumatic brain injury’. This research investigates the relationship between concussive symptoms and dysfunctional brain networks using EEG and MRI technology.
