The Safer Community team, in collaboration with the Student Experience team and WA Police, recently hosted two meet and greet sessions as part of the ongoing Café Connect series.

Both sessions provided a great opportunity for attendees to learn more about campus safety and student wellbeing, as well as highlighting the incredible work of both Curtin teams to ensure that our campus environment is safe, respectful and inclusive.

Key event highlights included an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Safer Community Control Room, providing insight into how the team monitors campus activity and incident response procedures; practical advice and discussions from WA Police on personal safety on and off campus; and information on student support services to help students succeed and feel supported during their studies.

Congratulations to the Safer Community team, as well as the Student Experience team, Neville Hiscox, Chief Student Services Officer, Linda Adnyana, Director, Student Life and Community, Associate Professor Simon Winetroube, Director, Curtin English, and everyone else involved in this fantastic initiative.
