Recently, the Curtin Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) Student Engagement team hosted the Curtin Business School (CBS) Industry Engagement breakfast at Perth Zoo, which was a “roaring” success!

With more than 90 industry partners in attendance, the team showcased internships, research collaborations, tax/legal clinics and student club partnerships, all aimed at bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Special thank you to Dean Indigenous Engagement FBL Dr Tuguy Esgin for kicking off the day with an acknowledgment to Country and discussing the important work to close the gap; to Student Engagement Director Hannah Wilkinson for speaking on behalf of the Faculty to reiterate its focus on working with industry and to students Ryan Kirby and Angela Sebastian who spoke towards their experiences with internships both in WA and abroad. Let’s continue to inspire and empower future workforce leaders.

The organisation skills of event organiser Jenna Dawson ably supported by her team – Jane Cass, Yen Hieu, Michelle Stepanovski and Arun Raj from FBL Student Experience, meant the beautiful venue and food was mirrored in the seamless running of the day’s event. Well done to all involved!
