Curtin’s Exercise and Sport Science program marked its 10-year anniversary with a special alumni reunion on 3 April at the Bentley campus. More than 50 alumni and lecturers came together to reconnect, reflect on the program’s growth and gain new perspectives from an expert panel discussion.

Facilitated by Ashleigh Nelson, Australian Olympian, Curtin Occupational Therapy graduate and Sports Journalist at Network 10, the panel featured Dr Adam Beard, Director of Special Projects and Innovation at the Fremantle Dockers; Ceinwen Roberts, Co-Founder of the Euroz Hartleys Port to Pub with Hotel Rottnest; and Jake Harvie, Olympian, two-time Commonwealth Games Australia gold medallist and Curtin graduate. Adam, Ceinwen and Jake shared their career journey, experiences overcoming challenges and thoughts on the future of leadership in exercise science.

Congratulations and thank you to Professor Courtenay Harris, Head of the School of Allied Health, Professor Andrew Maiorana (Exercise Science, School of Allied Health), and all who contributed to this milestone event and the success of the program over the past decade.
