Curtin proudly took part in Xuân Quê Hương (Vietnamese Spring Festival), the largest Vietnamese cultural event in Western Australia, as one of their major sponsors.

Representing Curtin was Deputy Vice-Chancellor Global Professor Xiaotian Zhang alongside Curtin staff, students and volunteers. The sponsorship reflected a joint initiative between Curtin Global and the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance, led by Associate Professor Lien Duong, and highlighted Curtin’s strong commitment to cultural engagement and community partnerships.

The event featured vibrant cultural performances, traditional food and was attended by Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds, international diplomats, local councillors and business leaders. In addition to celebrating Vietnamese heritage, the festival raised charitable funds to support flood-affected communities in central Vietnam, reinforcing the spirit of compassion and connection.

Thank you to Professor Zhang, Professor Lien Duong, the Vietnam Consul General, the City of Perth and everyone else who helped make this event a meaningful celebration of culture, community and kindness.
