The School of Design and the Built Environment (DBE) proudly launched its 2024 GLOBETROTTING exhibition, showcasing student work from 52 programs and study trips to 18 countries, all completed within a single year.

The exhibition also marked the launch of RETROACTIVE: Two Decades of DBE Global Study Activity, a new publication capturing 20 years of international student experiences up to 2023.

Featuring the work of 246 students, the exhibition highlights study tours, research trips, exchanges, industry internships, global competitions and events such as COP29 (2024 United Nations Climate Change Conference). Many of these opportunities were made possible thanks to generous Federal Government support, particularly through the New Colombo Plan.

Former students, industry representatives and community partners joined staff and students at the launch to celebrate DBE’s long-standing commitment to international engagement. These global experiences continue to develop culturally aware graduates and align closely with Curtin’s 2030 Strategic Plan by connecting people, planet and partnerships across borders.

A huge thank you to our partners and contributors for making this possible.
