Cooperative Research Centres Projects grant awarded to partner project
Curtin is the only Western Australian university to be a partner on a project awarded funding in the recent Cooperative Research Centres Projects (CRC-P) grant round which supports short-term collaborative research projects.
Funding of $1,745,362 was awarded to Veintech (lead), South Metropolitan Health Service, Design & Industry, Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and Curtin for the project “Ultrasound commercialization to deliver a novel product for cannulation”.
Curtin will work together with Perth-based medical device start-up Veintech on their patented device, VeinWise, which enhances vein imaging using ultrasound signal processing.
Thank you to Hai Binh Lam from Research Partnerships for the assistance on obtaining this significant grant and congratulations to Professor Yue Rong from the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences.
