Professor David Gibson has been reappointed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), as Chair on Data Science in Higher Education Learning and Teaching for another four-year term. Professor Gibson has held the role since 2016.

Former Deputy Chair, Professor Dirk Ifenthaler from the School of Education, will take on an expanded leadership role as Co-Chair.
