The Faculty of Humanities recently delivered its second annual Regional English Conference, returning to Broome and introducing the program to Karratha and Kalgoorlie. More than 120 Year 11 and 12 ATAR English and Literature students from five secondary schools participated in interactive lectures and workshops aligned with the ATAR curriculum, designed to strengthen skills and build academic confidence.

Thank you to Associate Professor Christina Lee for her outstanding leadership and to Anna Hardy, Bruce Derby, Claire Burton, Emma Cattapan and Dr Ann McGuire for their contributions. Special thanks also go to the Faculty of Humanities Student Engagement team and Curtin’s Community Development team for their exceptional planning and coordination, and to everyone involved in expanding access to enriching learning experiences across regional WA.
