Curtin experts collaborate on Maggie Beer’s Big Mission series
Curtin experts have collaborated with Australian celebrity cook Maggie Beer on a new documentary series Maggie Beer’s Big Mission, which charts Beer’s ambitious four-month long social experiment to transform the meals and dining experience at a Perth aged care home.
Congratulations and well done to the expert team from the School of Allied Health: Elizabeth Oliver, Associate Professor Jade Cartwright, Professor Anne Whitworth, Natalie O’Brien (former staff) and Emma Falconer (alumna) who along with Professor Josh Byrne, Dean of Sustainable Futures, helped to improve the mealtime experience for aged care residents by transforming food, dining rooms, outdoor spaces and the model of care.
Thank you also to additional Curtin contributors including Dr Nigel Gribble from the School of Allied Health, alumni Karen Roberts and Speech Pathology Masters students.
The three-part series is now available to view on ABC iView here.
