Associate Professor Lien Duong (School of Accounting and Economics) and Associate Professor Sonny Pham (School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences) played key roles in high-level forums during the Vietnamese Government’s visit to Australia in November 2025.

Associate Professor Duong organised the Science and Technology Dialogue Forum in Sydney, presenting her Curtin-led projects to the Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister. Several days later, the Western Australia–Vietnam: Strengthening Science & Technology Partnerships for a Sustainable Future Forum in Perth, co-organised by Associate Professor Duong and Associate Professor Pham, highlighted Curtin’s expertise in energy transition, digital transformation, mining innovation and sustainable agriculture. Professor Peta Ashworth (Director, Curtin Institute for Energy Transition) opened the forum and participated in the panel discussion.

Congratulations to Associate Professors Duong and Pham on two successful events, which received extensive media coverage in Vietnam. Thank you to Curtin Global and all staff who contributed.
