Congratulations to Rohan McDougall, Curtin’s Director of IP Commercialisation and the Director of the Resources Technology and Critical Minerals Trailblazers, on being named in Business News’ 2025 Power 500 List.

His inclusion under the Technology and Innovation section highlighted his outstanding leadership of Curtin’s commercialisation activities and the wealth of experience he brings to Western Australia’s most successful tech companies, including a decade as chair of the AI-assisted, video-monitoring software company iCetana.

Rohan was also recognised for his role as co-founder of Australia’s longest-running tech festival, West Tech Fest, and leading the development of the Curtin Venture Studio, the first venture studio developed by an Australian university, designed to fast-track innovation in the resources industry to support net-zero emissions by 2050.

Also recognised in the list were Dr Vanessa Guthrie AO, Chancellor, Professor Harlene Hayne, Vice-Chancellor and Ms Ashlee Harrison, Council Member.

Congratulations once again to these key Curtin leaders on this significant recognition.
