Curtin-led workshops and study mission for Vietnamese leaders
Congratulations to Associate Professor Lien Duong from the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance for leading a successful Australian Study Mission for Vietnamese leaders in partnership with the University of Melbourne.
The delegation of senior Vietnamese leaders visited key institutions and government agencies across Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney. The mission provided insights into Australia’s innovations in public sector reform, green and energy transition and digital transformation.
This mission followed a series of green and energy transition workshops for senior Vietnamese leaders in Hanoi, Vietnam, featuring industry experts. Two additional workshops are scheduled for November 2024 and January 2025.
The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) funded all initiatives, administered by the Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC). Thank you to Associate Professor Duong; Associate Professor Sonny Pham from the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences; and Professor Peta Ashworth, Director of the Curtin Institute for Energy Transition; and all involved in facilitating these fantastic collaborative projects.
