Curtin Mauritius recently hosted a two-day Research Advancement Boot Camp, in collaboration with the Research Office at Curtin (ROC), to equip academics with essential tools for research success and innovation.

Day one focused on:

  • Effective Use of AI in Researchled by Associate Professor Nik Thompson from the School of Management and Marketing, guiding researchers on the ethical integration of AI tools into their methodologies.
  • Grant Writingfacilitated by Ms Rosie Jayasekera, ROC Research Grant Success Lead, exploring how to craft persuasive and well-structured grant proposals.

Day two featured:

  • HDR Supervisionwith Dr Daniel Rudaizky from the School of Population Health, focusing on strategies to foster productive, policy-aligned supervision practices.
  • Building Collaborative HDR Networkswith Associate Professor Nik Thompson and Ms Rosie Jayasekera, highlighting the value of community and collaboration throughout the research lifecycle.

The boot camp reflects Curtin Mauritius’ commitment to developing research capacity and supporting academic excellence. Thank you to everyone who contributed to its success.
