Curtin researchers have been highlighted in Future Water: Australia Water Management Journal for their work to develop a smart adsorbent that not only removes toxic mercury from water but also changes colour for instant detection – making water safety easier, faster, and more efficient.

Congratulations to Associate Professor Hussein Znad and the team on this achievement. Read the story in Future Water’s 2025 edition: Next-Generation Adsorbent for Mercury Detection and Removal: A Game Changer in Water Purification (PDF version available here).
