Curtin academics honoured at Australian Business Deans Council Network Awards
Associate Professor Thu Phuong Pham and Annette Morgan have been recognised at the recent Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) Annual Network Awards in Canberra.
Associate Professor Thu Phuong Pham won the Award for Innovation and Excellence in Research in the Established Researcher category for her outstanding research that advances understanding of climate-responsive finance and delivers evidence-based solutions to support inclusive and sustainable growth. Associate Professor Pham’s research combines academic rigour with policy translation at international scale. It advances understanding of climate-responsive finance and has demonstrably shaped SDG policy across Asia-Pacific. The breadth of collaborations and depth of outputs provide compelling evidence of excellence, innovation and impact.
Annette Morgan won the Award for Innovation and Excellence in Teaching and Learning due to her impact on the Curtin Tax Clinic (CTC) initiative within Curtin’s Industry and Community Hub. Under her leadership, the CTC soon demonstrated its immense value for students, communities, industry and higher education and has since become the national model, having inspired the Australian Government’s National Tax Clinic Program that now operates across more than 20 different universities.
