Curtin-UAH Articulation Agreement
Last week, Curtin and the University of Architecture of Ho Chi Minh City (UAH) signed an Articulation Agreement, mapping UAH’s Degree of Architecture with Curtin’s Bachelor of Applied Science (Architectural Science).
The mapping process allows universities to align courses to ensure content meets industry expectations and promotes best practice, while also creating pathways for mobility between institutions.
This agreement builds on an eight-year collaboration between Curtin’s School of Design and the Built Environment (DBE) and UAH, which has been focused on student mobility initiatives such as inbound and outbound study tours, and internships in Vietnam, which have been supported by the New Colombo Plan Mobility Program since 2018.
The agreement was signed by Professor Linley Lord, Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor Global, and Dr Lê Văn Thương, UAH Rector. This marks an exciting step forward in the long-standing partnership, which has been built on years of exchange, hospitality, respect and trust. The continued collaboration is expected to bring UAH Architecture students to Curtin and further strengthen connections between Vietnam and Australia.
A special thank you to DBE staff Professor Francesco Mancini, Deputy Head of School, who initiated and championed this relationship, as well as Associate Professor Tanja Glusac, Deputy Head of School; Dr Vuk Radovic, Master of Architecture Course Coordinator; Chris Mewburn, Bachelor of Architecture Course Coordinator; and Natalie Beard, Digital Learning Coordinator, for their support.
Thank you also to Associate Professor Lisa Lim, Dean International, Humanities, and Mina Cho, International Partnership Consultant, Humanities, for their ongoing commitment.
