Curtin recently welcomed a strong turnout of teachers, educators and career counsellors from across Western Australia for the annual Teachers’ Big Day Out, one of our most influential stakeholder groups given their vital role in guiding student applications.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Harlene Hayne opened the event with a welcome address that aligned Curtin’s vision with the goals of the University Accord, highlighting our shared responsibility in raising student attainment and shaping the future.

The program included practical updates on Curtin’s courses, pathways and admissions for 2026, along with a special keynote from Dr Anthony Clarke, whose groundbreaking research traced Stonehenge’s Altar Stone to Scotland, reshaping centuries of historical understanding.

Thank you to the Student Recruitment Events Team and the Future Student Engagement Team for delivering another successful event. Special thanks to Georgia Ellis for leading the programming and for organising the event, and to Laura Andre for doing a fantastic job as MC on the day.
