Curtin’s Act Belong Commit Partnership Coordinator Rodney Glossop, from the School of Population Health, has been named the 2025 Outdoor Volunteer of the Year at the Annual Outdoors WA Industry Awards.

The award recognises Rodney’s outstanding commitment to building active, connected and inclusive communities through volunteering. Alongside his role at Curtin, he contributes extensively to the community as a parkrun Event Director and Ambassador, Masters Athletics WA Booking Officer and Race Director, Thornlie Junior Football Club Coach and Committee Member, and Founder and Organiser of Woosha’s Warriors Social Running Club.

Through volunteering, Rodney continues to inspire others to get active, connect with their communities and experience the sense of belonging that comes from shared purpose. Congratulations to Rodney on this well-deserved recognition. More information on the awards can be found on the Outdoors WA website.
