Congratulations to Dr Jacob Martin from the School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences, who took out first place at the Falling Walls Lab Perth competition for his pitch on ‘Breaking the Wall of Green Graphite’.

Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition and networking forum that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students and early-career professionals by providing a stage for breakthrough ideas both globally and locally. The Western Australian round was hosted by Curtin at The Lantern on 18 July.

Dr Martin will accompany second place winner CSIRO’s Jonathan Richetti, to Canberra to compete in the Australian Finale on 30 August, with hopes of earning a spot in the Global Finale in Berlin.
