The School of Electrical Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Sciences (EECMS) celebrated student excellence at their annual Student Awards Ceremony recently held in The Lantern.

The ceremony included a fascinating Welcome to Country from Barry Winmar, a Whadjuk Noongar man with connections to the Ballardong region, to an audience of teaching staff, students’ families and the broader Curtin community.

Thank you to event MC, Head of School Professor Kate Brooks, who also presented certificates from across all disciplines within the School. Well done and thank you also to all staff and industry partners involved in supporting and mentoring these students in their university journey.

It was inspiring to see what the next generation of mathematicians, physicists, electrical engineers and computing students have achieved at their time at Curtin.

This ceremony was advocated by industry partners: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, IEEE Power & Energy Society, Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Rossi & Associates, Regen Power Pty Ltd, Tesla Forum, Western Power, Nuheara, Cisco, Curtin Centre for Optimisation and Decision Science, Curtin Institute for Data Science, DUG, OffSec, Palo Alto Networks, Mechanical Rock, Magellan Power, Ever Nimble and Innovation Central Perth.
