Congratulations to four exceptional Curtin academics who have been awarded 2024 Telethon7 Grants:

  • Professor Kevin Batty, Curtin Medical School for a study on the compatibility of intravenous antibiotics in neonatal settings.
  • Professor Fenella Gill, Curtin School of Nursing for the project “Find Your Voice”: Empowering culturally-linguistically diverse families.
  • Professor Sarah Egan, Curtin School of Population Health for the SKIL program: Supporting Kids in Loss.
  • Dr Bahareh Afsharnejad, Curtin School of Population Health for research on strengthening autistic adolescents’ mental health through strength-based art.

These highly competitive grants will fund critical projects aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged, sick and vulnerable children and their families in Western Australia.
