Congratulations to Professor Blossom Stephan, from the EnAble Institute, who has been awarded $577,286.46 from the Future Health Research and Innovation Fund WA Cohort Studies-Research Support Program (WACS-RSP) for her research into dementia. Led by Professor Stephan the project, Dementia Risk Prediction and Risk Reduction in Western Australia: DEMRISK-WA’ will develop and validate a new model for identifying people at high-risk of dementia in WA, as well as create an electronic Healthy Brain Ageing Resource Pack.

The project is a collaboration with Dementia Australia, The University of Western Australia and Edith Cowan University. It will use global and local data including from the Busselton Healthy Ageing Study

DEMRISK-WA was one of only four projects to be awarded funding by WACS-RSP, which supports population health research.
