Curtin recently welcomed Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a world-renowned meditation master, humanitarian and peace leader, to the Bentley campus for a special guided meditation session and panel discussion.

Gurudev was joined by Professor David Lawrence from the School of Population Health; Professor Rekha Koul, Deputy Head of School of Education; Professor Jaya Dantas, Dean, International (Faculty of Health Sciences); and Zaneta Mascarenhas MP, Federal Member for Swan and Curtin graduate.

The event drew nearly 350 attendees, including the Hon Dr Tony Buti MLA, Minister for Education; Aboriginal Affairs; Citizenship and Multicultural Interests; Consuls General from India, Japan, Malaysia and Thailand; and representatives from the Office of Multicultural Interests.

Discussions explored the relationship between meditation and wellbeing, with valuable insights into stress reduction and ways to keep meditation engaging.
