Congratulations to the following Curtin researchers who have successfully been awarded funding through Healthway’s 2024 Open Research grant round.

  • Associate Professor Elissa Burton from the School of Allied Health was awarded $74,998 for the project “Impact of successful ageing education on promoting health in WA”.
  • Dr Elizabeth Hill from the School of Allied Health was awarded $74,363 for the project “Child mental health promotion – Language-based accessibility: Improving the accessibility of universal child mental health program”.
  • Dr Eric Lim from the Curtin School of Nursing was awarded $74,933 for the project “CaLD Mental Health: Exploring the impacts of the ‘new racism’ in Australia”.

Intervention Research Grants support projects that will develop and test or inform new health promotion programs or policy interventions, while Exploratory Research Grants support exploratory or formative studies that address gaps in health promotion research, aiming to influence health promotion in WA.
