On Thursday, 8 February, the John Curtin Gallery (JCG) welcomed special guests to the opening of the 2024 Perth Festival exhibition which features Kinara munu Tjintu [Moon and Sun] by Yankunytjatjara artist Robert Fielding (SA) and The Horn of the Moon – 13 Goddesses by Walyalup (Fremantle) based artist Susan Flavell (WA).

The event highlighted the longstanding partnership between JCG and Perth Festival and launched the exhibition in which both artists lovingly reclaim detritus to create new forms, establishing harmony between old and new, natural and synthetic.
