Launching the MinRes NextGen Scholars Program
Curtin recently welcomed the first official cohort of the Mineral Resources (MinRes) NextGen Scholars program to the Bentley campus.
Curtin’s Industry Exchange team has collaborated closely with MinRes for the past few years, while Curtin interns have tackled numerous operational challenges, showcasing their talent and dedication. The launch of the NextGen Scholars program is an extension of the successful internship initiative.
The program, sponsored by MinRes, supports select students with financial incentives and tailored upskilling opportunities and mentorship throughout their studies.
The first workshop for the year focused on career development. A huge thank you to our event speakers and facilitators Tania McKiernan, Career Development Consultant; Nick Schols, Project Manager; Curtin alumni Adil Khokhar and Lauren Rothnie and Daniel Page, Manager of Mine Planning at Mineral Resources.
We’re excited to see this program further develop throughout the year.
