The Faculty of Humanities recently wrapped up the 2025 Learning Futures Challenge, which brought together more than 100 Curtin students for an intensive week-long design sprint reimagining the future of education.

Supported by industry partners including Viewport XR, Oceanus Media Global and Adobe, the program guided interdisciplinary student teams to develop innovative, human-centred solutions to real-world challenges in learning and teaching.

The challenge culminated in a showcase, where students presented their concepts to staff, industry mentors and peers. Two standout projects included:

  • Flow State – a wellbeing companion app that tracks students’ moods and study habits, offering AI-powered insights and support for both learners and educators.
  • Vizora – a smart browser extension that transforms lecture content into interactive, visual learning experiences to support deeper understanding and engagement.

Thank you to all who helped make this year’s challenge a success. Read more about the Challenge here.
