Congratulations to John Curtin Distinguished Professor Christopher Reid from the School of Population Health who has been awarded $2.84 million through the Medical Research Future Fund’s International Clinical Trial Collaboration for a diabetes research trial.

Entitled Colchicine and Non-Enteric Coated Aspirin in the Cardiovascular Outcomes Trial of Patients with Type 2 Diabetes (COLCOT-T2D), the trial aims to recruit 10,000 participants globally, including 1,000 from regional, rural and remote areas across Australia.

Working in collaboration with Dr Jean-Claude Tardif from the Montreal Heart Institute, Professor Reid will lead the team from the Curtin School of Population Health: Dr Jacquita Affandi, Dr Jun Chih, Dr Sharmani Barnard, Dr Dan Xu and Professor Richard Norman. Congratulations to all involved.
