NDRI Director Professor Paul Griffiths was invited to participate in the European Union Drugs Agency ‘Technology Foresight in the Drugs Field’ expert consultation exercise, held in Portugal over two days.

Focused on how technological developments and innovations may impact the drugs field over the next decade, the workshop is part of project mapping and assessing emerging challenges and opportunities for innovative responses created by new technologies in the drugs area.

The aim is to provide actionable recommendations for policymaking, research and practice across a range of areas, from consumption trends and interventions that prevent use or reduce harm to rapid detection and changes in drug manufacture and supply. More information is available here.
