NHMRC funding success
Congratulations to Professor Deborah Hersh from the Curtin School of Allied Health and Associate Professor Tuguy Esgin, Faculty of Business and Law, Dean of Indigenous Engagement, for being awarded almost $2.8 million in National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) grants to enhance healthcare delivery for vulnerable populations.
Professor Hersh and her team were awarded a 2024 Ideas Grant of $1.33 million for the project ‘Assess for Success: Transforming language and cognitive assessment and feedback practices following acquired brain injury to enhance effective communication, consumer engagement, and self-efficacy’.
Associate Professor Esgin and his team were awarded a 2024 Development Grant of $1.46 million for the project ‘Djiridji Koodjal “Two Hearts” – Connection and cooperation between technology and Indigenous community health’.
