Nursing 50th Anniversary Reunion event
Curtin’s Nursing alumni gathered on Thursday, 14 November for a memorable 50th Anniversary Reunion at The Lantern. The event brought together close to 90 attendees, including former staff and graduates, to celebrate and reflect on five decades of excellence in nursing education at Curtin.
Before the reunion, a group of alumni enjoyed a tour of Building 405, home to the Curtin School of Nursing, where they marvelled at the advanced technology now available to students.
Attendees were invited to write words of encouragement on paper hands, which will form the ‘Caring Tree of Wisdom’ displayed on Level 3 of Building 405, inspiring future clinical placement students.
Nursing alumni Jeffrey Williams and Dana Longton shared their experiences, followed by Professor Tracey Moroney, Head of School, who discussed the School’s progress and vision for the future. Guests were entertained by a live three-piece band, enjoyed a photo booth, and mingled over drinks and canapés.
Thank you the University Advancement team and everyone who helped make this event a success.
