Curtin recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of Australia’s diplomatic ties with Vietnam by hosting twenty senior officials and policymakers through the Australia Awards ‘Public and International Affairs Strategic Leadership Certificate’ program.

This initiative, sponsored by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, managed by the Vietnam Australia Centre, and delivered by Curtin focuses on enhancing leadership in Vietnam’s public sector in alignment with the 2023 Australia-Vietnam theme, ‘People, Partnership, and Prosperity.’

A traditional Welcome to Country ceremony by Aunty Karen Jacobs and addresses from key figures emphasised collaboration and shared goals. This short course not only strengthens our bonds but also provides a platform to showcase emerging areas of cooperation.

Congratulations to all Curtin staff involved on the success of this significant event!

Participants at the opening ceremony to begin their journey in Perth.
