Curtin’s alumni recently gathered for Startup Stories: From Employee to Entrepreneur, a Curtin Young Alumni x Curtin Entrepreneurs event featuring Anna Guerrero, founder of Clove and one of Canva’s first employees. Hosted by Provost Professor Matthew Tonts and MC’d by Director of Entrepreneurship Danelle Cross, the event offered candid insights into Anna’s leap from employee to startup leader and her drive to create tech solutions that make everyday life easier.

Her stories of risk-taking, innovation and resilience offered valuable motivation for anyone considering their own entrepreneurial journey. Many attendees were moved by Anna’s insights into startup life and were encouraged to join the Curtin Entrepreneurs membership community, which provides budding and established entrepreneurs with the support, resources and networks to scale global businesses.

Thank you to the Alumni and Entrepreneurship teams – Jesse Emslie, Georgia Tully, Sarah Kahle, Anna Lee, Ben Sandhu and Danelle Cross – for delivering another successful collaboration that connected and inspired the Curtin community.
