The fun never stops for Curtin students, thanks to the efforts of the First Year Transition team in Student Life and Community and Explore Curtin. Both teams have been working together to deliver a variety of events that foster connection and community in a revitalised approach to student support. This semester, the fun has been taken up a notch with the introduction of the Week Two Street Party – a fresh and free event designed to keep the excitement going and welcome students in style.

The free (and alcohol-free) Street Party hosted more than 3,000 attendees with a mix of Curtin and other Perth university students, staff, community members and families. The night was a huge success with anecdotal feedback that it was an unforgettable night with various giveaways, a neon garden and giant flower installation, many entertainment options and stage performances from local artists including Feel Estate (Curtin Alumni), Boox Kid and Ruby Hoo.

A huge well done to the First Year Transition and Explore Curtin teams, who hope to offer it as an annual Curtin community event.
